Cookies on the Polyant site.
polyant.ai uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the site works correctly, measure traffic statistics anonymously, and — with your explicit consent — enable marketing features. This policy describes every cookie in use and how to manage it.
Definition and behaviour.
Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device during navigation, to retain information useful for the operation of the site (e.g. language preference, settings) or to recognise the device on return visits.
Cookies can be first-party (set directly by the visited site, polyant.ai) or third-party (set by external services integrated in the site, such as Google Analytics or HubSpot).
Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when the browser is closed) or persistent cookies (with a specific expiry date, after which they are automatically deleted).
Cookie categories used.
We split cookies into three categories with different consent requirements.
Strictly necessary (always on). Enable basic functionality of the site and store the user's choices about cookies themselves. They do not require prior consent under the Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on cookies of 10 June 2021, which implement Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy).
Statistics (enabled only with consent). Allow us to measure site traffic in aggregate and pseudonymous form: most-visited pages, navigation paths, time spent. The data helps us improve content and usability. They can be turned off without affecting browsing.
Marketing and profiling (enabled only with consent). Allow us to recognise the user on return visits, attribute conversions to advertising campaigns, and deliver personalised content. These are the cookies with the most granular consent requirements.
Cookies active on this site.
Strictly necessary cookies
- pol_consent (first-party, duration 12 months): stores the user's choices made through the cookie banner (acceptance or rejection of each category).
- pol_locale (first-party, duration 12 months): stores the user's preferred language.
Statistics cookies — Google Analytics 4 (enabled only with consent for the "Statistics" category)
- _ga (third-party, googletagmanager.com, duration 24 months): identifies unique users in pseudonymous form.
- _ga_<ID> (third-party, googletagmanager.com, duration 24 months): persists session state for the specific GA4 property.
Marketing cookies — HubSpot (enabled only with consent for the "Marketing" category)
- __hstc (third-party, hubspot.com, duration 6 months): main HubSpot tracking cookie. Stores the timestamp of the first visit, the last visit and the current visit.
- hubspotutk (third-party, hubspot.com, duration 6 months): anonymous unique identifier used to recognise the visitor.
- __hssc (third-party, hubspot.com, duration 30 minutes): identifies sessions within the current visit.
- __hssrc (third-party, hubspot.com, session): supports session management.
Marketing cookies — LinkedIn Insight Tag (enabled only with consent for the "Marketing" category)
- li_gc (third-party, linkedin.com, duration 6 months): stores consent state for LinkedIn cookies.
- lidc (third-party, linkedin.com, duration 1 day): LinkedIn load balancing.
- bcookie (third-party, linkedin.com, duration 12 months): LinkedIn browser identifier.
The list is kept in sync with the cookies actually active on the site through periodic scanning. Any new cookies introduced by updates from third-party providers are added to this list within 30 days of detection.
How to choose which cookies to enable.
On the first visit to the site, a consent banner is shown with three options.
Accept all: enables strictly necessary, statistics and marketing cookies at once.
Only necessary: enables only technical cookies, with no statistics or marketing.
Customise: opens a panel with three toggles to select categories individually. The "Strictly necessary" category cannot be disabled, because without technical cookies the site cannot operate.
The user's choice is stored in the pol_consent cookie for 12 months. Once this period elapses, the banner reappears and the user can confirm or change their preferences.
You can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Manage cookies" in the footer of the site, which reopens the consent banner.
Configuring your browser.
Independently of the consent banner, you can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. The procedure varies by browser and version.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies and website data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies and site permissions.
Disabling cookies entirely may impair the correct operation of some sections of the site (e.g. the banner itself, the persistence of language preferences).
Legal references and your rights.
Cookies used for statistics and marketing purposes involve the processing of personal data (pseudonymous identifiers) under the GDPR. The Data Controller is Exelab S.r.l.; for details on your rights and how to exercise them, see the privacy policy.
Legal references: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Italian Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended), Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of 10 June 2021, Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy Directive).
Changes to this cookie policy.
This cookie policy may be updated to reflect the introduction, modification or removal of cookies by third-party providers, or to align with regulatory developments. The current version is always available at polyant.ai/cookie-policy, with the date of the last update indicated.
If material changes are made to the cookies in use (e.g. activation of new trackers), the consent banner is shown again so the user can express fresh preferences.
