MANAGED SERVICES · THREE PROFILES

Agents in production, watched over by those who built them.

Exelab's managed services keep the customer's agent squads in production: end-to-end software infrastructure management, product maintenance and updates, and operational support with a contractual SLA. Three profiles tuned to the customer's needs, one runtime configuration.

02WHAT IT INCLUDES

Infrastructure, maintenance, support, reconstructable audit.

Managed software infrastructure

The runtime runs on the infrastructure defined by the managed profile: Exelab infrastructure in an EU region for Core, in a customer-chosen region for Advanced, with the option of the customer's cloud account (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise for Ultra. Provisioning, patching, backup, and disaster recovery fall under the profile's SLA.

Product maintenance

Product security updates are applied within the profile's timing, without requiring intervention from the customer's team. The customer's configuration changes are not touched.

Operational support

Escalation channel with contractual response time per profile, covering case triage, diagnosis, and resolution. The Exelab team speaks English and Italian and works in the European time zone.

Reconstructable audit

The runtime's audit registry stays inside the customer's infrastructure, inspectable by the compliance team with a standard SQL client. Exelab has no access to the customer's operational data; it has visibility into runtime meta-events for technical support purposes, as declared in the contract.

03PROFILES

Core, Advanced, Ultra. Buyer profiles, not feature catalogs.

A managed profile is not a personalised set of features, but a configuration aligned with the scale of operations, the criticality of the context, and the compliance requirements. Below are the three profiles described by customer type.

01 ·

Core

For companies with automation needs across a handful of non-critical processes, with 1–3 agents in production on one business function. SLA 99.9% uptime, audit retention 90 days (configurable), registry inspectable for the customer's internal and certification audits (e.g. ISO 27001). The runtime runs on Exelab infrastructure in an EU region. Includes software maintenance, patching, and updates, plus escalation during European business hours.

02 ·

Advanced

For companies in regulated contexts with automation needs across several non-critical processes, with 1–10 agents in production across 2–3 business functions. SLA 99.9% uptime, 4-hour response time during European business hours (9-18 CET), audit retention 12 months (configurable), registry and reporting for audits by the European regulators relevant to the customer's industry (e.g. DORA for banking, IVASS for insurance, AGENAS for healthcare, ARERA for energy).

03 ·

Ultra

For companies in regulated contexts with automation needs across several critical processes, with 20 or more agents distributed across multiple divisions. Service levels defined to the customer's needs, audit retention configured to each case, on-demand reporting, and a regulatory coverage perimeter defined case by case. Deployment options: Exelab infrastructure, customer's cloud account (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premise, or multi-region data residency.

04CHOICE

Five questions, not a feature table.

A buyer with Core scale and Ultra criticality is rare: the three profiles describe how operational scale, criticality, and compliance requirements tend to move together. The pricing page contains a decision tree with five questions for preliminary qualification; the conversation with the team covers the specific case in full.

The five starting questions

  • Which kind of processes do you want to automate?
  • How many agents are planned, and across how many business functions?
  • What is the operational criticality level?
  • Which regulators apply to the customer's context?
  • Who builds the agents and who runs operations?
05SELF-HOST VS MANAGED

AGPLv3 self-host and managed are complementary, not alternatives.

Self-host AGPLv3
  • Internal technical team with enterprise operations capability
  • Patching, backup and monitoring managed in-house
  • Full control of the infrastructure perimeter
  • No managed cost — open source licence only
Code → your control
Managed Exelab
  • Exelab oversees runtime, patching and overnight on-call
  • Updates applied within the SLA profile timing
  • Audit prep included — SQL log in your database
  • Escalation with contractual response time
Operations → managed by Exelab

Polyant OSS AGPLv3 self-host is the right starting point for teams with internal technical expertise in enterprise operations who want to keep everything within their own perimeter. Managed becomes the right choice when the customer's team does not want to handle infrastructure, patching, overnight on-call, or audit prep. The two modes are selected at the outset and can be switched via a contractual migration.
